Italian-American Club of Duluth Scholarship Applications for 2023
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS FOR 2023: The Italian-American Club of Duluth and the Italian-American Ladies Auxiliary will be offering two $1,500 scholarships to two high school seniors and one $1,500 scholarship to an advanced student who is entering either the third year of a four year college degree program, or the second year of a two year degree Vo-Tech program. Applicants must plan to enroll in 2023-2024 in an accredited college, or vocational technical institute , which offers programs leading to a degree or graduation certificate.
The requirements for each category of scholarships are as follows:
HIGH SCHOOL: 1. Be a graduating senior. 2. Be sponsored by a Relative (parent, grandparent, uncle, aunt, etc.) who has been a member in good standing of the Italian-American Club of Duluth, or the Italian-American Ladies Auxiliary for the entire period of time from January 1, 2022 through April 1, 2023. 3. Rank in the upper 40th percentile of their HS graduation class at the end of their junior year. 4. Not be a recipient of the Alworth/Hunt/Soneson/Whiteside/Mittchell or other major scholarships. 5. Applicant must carefully, and completely, fill out the required application form and attach to it: a) A personal letter describing their goals and ambitions. b) A personal recommendation from one of the following: high school teacher, pastor or employer (form provided). c) A copy of their high school cumulative record (10th grade through the first half of their senior year) certified by the counselor.
College/V-T: 1.Be sponsored by a Parentwho has been a member in good standing of the Italian-American Club of Duluth, or the Italian-American Ladies Auxiliary for the entire period of time from January 1, 2022 through April 1, 2023. 2. Must be entering their junior year of a four year college program, or entering their second year of a vocational technical institute program. 3. Not be a recipient of the Alworth/Hunt/Soneson/Whiteside/Mittchell or other major scholarships. 4. Applicant must carefully, and completely, fill out the required application form and attach to it: a) A personal letter describing their goals and ambitions. b) A personal recommendation from one of the following: a college/vo-tech instructor or counselor, pastor or employer (form provided). c) A cumulative record/transcript, to date, certified by the administration.

Completed applications must be returned to Denice by Friday, April 7, 2023. Winners will be notified before school is dismissed for the summer.
